The University of Pembroke first male basketball game was great to me.  Even though they lost, they had played an okay game, but still had a bad game at the same time.  The team they were playing aganist was a special team.  They was a team basically trying to win souls for Jesus.  They had alot of foregin players that were really skilled and could shoot the ball real well from beyound the arc.  When I first got in the gym and saw the team, everybody including me was thinking that Pembroke was going to win the game easily and I was going to see a alot of fast break dunks and lay ups.  The foreign team quickly proved everybody in the gym wrong when the 1st half had ended.  Their team was up by six or eight points and they had complete control of the game.  At halftime the point guard from the team basically whitnessed to everybody that was in the gym and the team passed out flyers about God.  It was the first time where I seen a basketball team or a sports team do that.  At the end of the game the under rated foreign team won by like seven points.  I believe God was the reason for the success of the team.   After the game my friends and I went to the auxilary gym to play basketball.  I was on a team with a whole bunch of sorry basketball players that could not play to save their own life.  The score was 10 to 3 and we was going to 12 for the finishing points.  My team of coarse was done, but everything began to change when I started to just play like Kobe Bryant.  I started to make every shot I took and I was getting steals also.  We went on to win the game 12 to 11.  That was a great day to me

extracurricular activity 1

The learning Leadership Community made the group attend a meeting in the autiturom.  To our suprise it was the teacher off of the MTV movie called Freedom Writers.  The teacher looked so different from the picture that was seen at the end of the movie.  She was very young and she just looked like such a bright and cheery young lady.  She first talked to us about the people that was in her class and gave us a brief descrpition about the people in her class.  She then began to talk to us about how her parents wanted her to become a lawyer and how her husband was scared when she first took the teaching career at such a bad school.  She went on to tell the audience about what went on in the class and the real story about what was reality with the Freedom Writers.  The teacher told us that we should be apprepiate of what we have and what we are surrounded by.  Not all people are lucky enough to be safe everytime we walk down the street, she said that not all people can say they have two parents and that nobody was locked up in jail.  The teacher was a very good inspirations to me and everybody that was in the audience.  She had everybody’s attention when she was telling stories about her class.  I could tell that she was use to grasping the attention of young people she looked like a pro when she was speaking to us.  At the end of the session the teacher began to tell the story about how one of her students got a older lady to come down to talk to her class about Holocaust.  That was an special moment for the crowd and it really touched everybody including me, and it is hard to make me feel sad.

People use to ask me all the time how did I feel being a triplet.  I use to get tired of people asking the question, but I jus got use to it.  My answer would always be yes, it is very good and an interesting experience.  My mother use to tell me stories about how she would drive to mall and get out the car and take us out and everybody giving us attention.  We could not go anywhere without people stopping and wanting to hold us and touchcing our faces and pinching our cheeks.  I guess, that is all what comes with being a triplet, if I could of been the only child, I would choose that in a heartbeat, but God did not want it that way.  Being a triplet in High school was so tough for me.  I was baascially under the rating when they talked about the triplets, my name would always come last.  For the senior class awards my brother got best male athlete of the year and my sister got female athlete of the year.  I had to watch and just act like I was happy, but deep inside I was devasted and I actually wanted to shed a couple of tears after the awards.  I later realized that my brother and my sister was my family and that I should not ever be sad because they succeded greatly in what they did.  Jayshawn Campbell got a scholarship to run division 1 track at the University of Campbell.  My sister, Jaslynn Campbell had got a scholarship to play volleyball at an JUCO school in Raleigh.  She could of went to a better school but her grades and SAT scores did not really match up well.  I just went to Pembroke because that was the only school I applied to.

The University of North Carolina at Pembroke is an decent school to me.  It could be better, but everybody school could be better.  Thursday is the party day for Pembroke.  That is the day I be locked in my room or just playing basketball.  I wish there was more to do on Thursday then just party and watch people get drunk.  Watching people get drunk is so funny to me and to the rest of the non drinkers.  My first 5 weeks at school I use to could not wait till Thursday nites to come, so I could watch people drink.  The funniest time was when my homebboy got drunk and it was his first time.  Wow, he was acting so crazy, he thought he was in his room but in reality he was in the hall.  People always asked me to drink and party, but I always turned them down like it was nothing.  I never been the party type of person because of the home I was raised in.  I was raised in a strict household where I was basically held hostage of doing anything.  My parents learned the hard way, because they grew up in a household where they could basically do anything they wanted.  My parents was raised in Canton, Ohio basically around a lot of family members.  My father was raised by his grandparents on his mother side.  He had a life filled with love and his grandma just loved him the death her and the grandpa did.  My mother on the other hand was raised basically by money with her mom.  My grandma would love  my mother just by giving her things she was really never a real mother to her.  My mom was raised by her great grandma.  She was a very good (mother) to her.  She taught her everything there was to know about life.

Basketball has always been a love for me, and I really do not know what kind of person I would be without it.  Basketball has basically made my life great, females came because of basketball and great success.  I have been involved in basketball ever since I was five years old and I am still involved in basketball now.  My father basically taught me how to play basketball, and trust he taught me real well.  I just wish I was playing basketball now and insteadof just playing basketball in the auxilary gym at the University of Pembroke.  My first hard training with basketball, was believe it or not in my house.  Yeah, my mother was not in there, my dad had to teach me whatever he wanted me to learn before my mom got there.  My dad had me sit down on a chair and he tied my right hand up and he had dribble the ball for atleast an hour with my left hand.  Well I can tell you today that I can dribble with my left hand as good as I can with my right hand.  My dad taught me the right way to play basketball, to this day I never hold nobody, I hardly touch my opponent.  My high school basketball career was a huge success for me.  Especially my senior year playing ball, I average 16 points, 5 assists, 2 steals, and 6 rebounds.  My best basketball game ever was when the second round of the playoffs started.  We was playing a team called North Forysith in Winsom Salem.  That team was projected to beat us by atleast 20 points,  if not higher.  At the end of the game I ended up with 20 points, 7 assists, 4 steals, and 7 rebounds.  I played the best game I have ever played, and plus we won, so I was so much happy.  The cheerleaders were so sexy!

The game that we played at Rock Fish, could have been called balance of the mind, if you would have asked me.  It was a very challeneging game and you had to be very smart and willing to participate to win the game.  The leaders of the group were a very smart and intelliegent girl named Katie.  She basically lead the other members of the Learning Leadership Community to being successful in the game.  The object of the game was to balacne everybody on a huge cut in half wagon, and we could not let the wagon hit the ground.  We first got on the bravest people which was Katie, Aj, myself, and Daniel.  We all came together and process began to go smooth when we all got excited about what we was doing.  We had almost everybody on the wagon and we only needed two more people.  When the 2nd to last person stepped on the wagon, the wagon began to shift to one side and everybody started to be scared.  Katie said people lets shift back real slow and while we shift back the 2nd to last person come slowly on the wagon.  Everybody got on and we was successful on what we did.  It was a great moment of happiness and joy that we showes upon eachother.  After we did all the activities we had to do we had a brief meeting.  We taled about being a leader and basically gave a huge definition on being a leader.  We also, played games to help us obtain our knowledge on being a leader.  The time was 12:00 and everybody was starving, we needed food.  So the camp leaders called told us to be ready to eat lunch in five minutes.  We all got our food and we had to say a funny prayer which I never did before.

My first week of college was so boring to me except the day the Learning Leadership Community took me to Rock Fish.  That day was very fun and cool.  We all had to wake up early in the mourning for most people, but for me it was just like an regular day.  On the bus we sat down by our roomates.  Breana sat next to Ciera, Danny sat next to Nigeria, Sasha sat next to Doriona, Abbie sat next to Paula, and the boys sat down to her friends and I sat next to my roommate Brady.  When we got to the camping site, the boys spotted out the basketball court, and I asked for a basketball from the camp leaders.  We got the basketball and we played a game of 4 on 4.  You could tell I was the best that I was playing, I had to impress the females the watching me play.  After the game was over, all the guys were trying to see who could dunk, and I hurt myself trying to.  I jumped off of two feet and I landed on like a little pole, which was on the botton of my foot as I landed.  We then began to do a adventure, that included everybodys mind and effort.  That event we did was a start to us as the group learning about eachother more and just having a great time with eachother.  Our next event was way harder then the one before the event we was strving to get finish then.  We was not successful with the event and we just had to give up, because we were taking up all the time.  After the event we settled down and went to our second meeting as a group.  The meeting went well and we all had a pleasant time together as a whole.

Back to the story about my open heart suregry.  Well okay the last words I heard from the doctors was that they were going to do an outstanding job on my surergy.  Okay about five hours passed and I just woke up and my suregery was done.  I was held in the IC, because they knew alot of pain was going to happen when I woke up ,if I ever did.  Well I finally woke up and yeah of coarse I was in pain, and alot of pain.  I could not move anything on my body, not my hands, feet, waist, and especially not chest.  My mother feed me ice to try to get my mind off the pain.  It was not working good enough for me, so the doctors gave me morphane to ease the pain.  That helped me a whole bunch and I was pushing that morphane botton like crazy.  A day went on and my parents decided to come home, but my brother decided to stay and we watched Disney movies.  The first movie we watched was The Aristocats, me and my brother decided to watch that because we have not watched the movie in a long time.  During the movie I began to fall asleep because all the medicine I was taking.  That week at the hospital was so boring to me and not relaxing at all.  The doctors had me in a little 10 year old bed and all the doctors kept checking up on me.  I had to get my blood drawned atleast three times a day and trust me I got tired of seeing the needles.  The day I was ready to go home was a great day for me.  I was finally getting ready to sleep in my own bed and see my friends.  It was a great day for me.

I can remember my open heart suregery day like it was yesterday.  It was June 23, 2008 and I stayed in the McDonald house thing in Chapel Hill.  I really do not know why I was in there with all those children.  I had to be at the hospital at 5 in  the mourning and it was a sorrowful mourning for me.  First had to go check in for my appointment at the hospital.  Then when the doctors finally called my name, I had to go draw blood and use the bathroom because I would not use it for three days.  When all the bloood was drawed out and it was finally ready for me to go get the surgery.  My mom was crying and my dad looked like he was too.  I had got prayed for a week before the suregy because it was needed.  So I went into suregry with all the confidence in the world and yeah just really not a care in the world.  The people were more scared for me then I was.  So I went into the suregy room and the doctors began to put me to sleep, which by the way took me forever to go to sleep.  The suregy was taking so long, eventhough I could not feel anything.  Even if I wanted to wake up I could not because my heart was having the suregy.  I was basically dead for a good while and the doctors could of messed up at anytime.  Gladly they did not mess up and gladly the doctors knew what they were doing.  The day I was supposed to get my heart suregy, it did not end pretty like I wanted to.  They had me wait in the waiting room for somebody suregy to get down.  Later on the doctors came to me and told me that the patient they was dealing with had a heart failure and did not make it.

For this blog poost I am going to type about my life.  I was born January 17th, 1992 in Fayetteville North Carolina.  My parents are Jason and Sheila Campbell.  After I was born then came along my brother JAyshawn Campbell a minute later.  Then after he was born my sister came along 2 minutes after him.  Her name is Jaslynn Campbell.  I lived on Spring Lake behind the Mcdonalds that is still over there.  When I was two years old my father got deployed and my mom decided she wanted to move back to Canton Ohio, where my parents is orginally from.  She moved there becuase she knew she was going to need help with her triplets, and we have all our family up there.  When I was three years old my dad came back to North Carolina, and we moved back with him.  Being a kid, when I got mad and threw a trampran I use to go to the kitchen and get on my knees and bang my head on the floor.  I think that s why I act kind of slow now and because my cousin dropped me on head playing with me also.  I did however have a great childhood it was verycool and fun.  There is alot of memories I had when I was a young child but my fondness one was falling down the stairs backwards.  I was 8 years old and my mother decided she wanted me to help her clean up.  We cleaned the whole house and when the accident happen we was fodding clothes in the hallway.  My mother accidently put a teacher out on the ground kind of close to the stairway, which was not very far away.  I did not see the shirt and I accidently slipped on it and fell backwards.  When I finally stopped doing flips and rolling around like a mad person, I just layed on the ground for a while.  However I did not cry, because I hated to cry in front of my sister and brother, I felt like an bad older brother whenever I did.
